What is SalesMesh?

SalesMesh is the first mobile-only app built with the needs of individual sales reps and customer-facing professionals in mind. It integrates with the core iOS productivity apps (like email & calendar) to help you plan your day, engage with customers, and close more deals. With SalesMesh it’s easy to captures notes and interaction information, and data is always available (even offline) and synced across all your devices when connectivity is available so you never miss a beat when talking to customers. You can use SalesMesh by yourself or across teams of up to 5 people.

What apps or services does SalesMesh integrate with?

SalesMesh allows you to bring together information from the local calendar and address book, as well as import contact information from (Professional Edition with API access or Enterprise or Unlimited Edition subscription required). In addition, you can bcc or forward emails from any email client to link them to customers inside SalesMesh.

What devices is SalesMesh supported on? Where does it run?

SalesMesh can be used on any iPad, iPhone, and/or iPod touch. In order to provide you with a better user experience, iOS6+ is required.

Is SalesMesh available on Android?

We currently only offer our app for iOS. In the future we plan to expand to Android as well. Stay tuned.

How can I change my password?

Under settings, tap on "Logout", then on the login screen, tap on "Forgot my password" at the bottom of the page, which will reset your password and allow you to pick a new one.

Can I sync with or other CRM systems?

You can currently import Contact data from into SalesMesh people, if your organization is on Enterprise or Unlimited edition.

Go to the People list, and tap the button at the top of the list with two people and an arrow. Then choose "Import from Salesforce". You will be prompted for your login, and then allowed to import.

Why doesn't the data on my iPad match my iPhone? Why aren't my devices in sync?

SalesMesh is unique in that the application is fully functional, even when offline, allowing you to conduct business no matter what the circumstances. From time to time, as devices across a network go in and out of connectivity range, some records may differ until they have a chance to sync.

If you go to "server status" on each device, you can see if it's connected or no, and if whether there are outgoing changes to be sent to other devices. If you see "connected" on all the devices, and nothing in "outgoing messages" then either log a support case here or email

Is there a web app to access my data on a desktop?

SalesMesh is committed to providing the best possible experience for the growing mobile market. Using SalesMesh

How do I create a deal?

There are 2 main ways to create a deal:

  1. Go to the deals part of the app in the menu and tap on the + icon at the top of the screen. To then link people to the deal, tap on the related “People” subsection then tap the plus button at the bottom of the screen.

  2. To create a deal starting from a company or person you want to link it to, first tap on the company or person, tap on the “Deals” subsection, then tap the plus button at the bottom of the screen.

How do I create tasks and interactions?

From the agenda, just tap the plus button at the top of the screen. To create an interaction (wide agenda item), tap on the date field and make sure to check “Specific Time” at the top of the date pop-up. Tasks, which only have a set day, float around your scheduled interactions, making it easy to get them done whenever you have free time.

If you are looking at a person's page, and want to schedule an interaction with them, press the clock-like "plan" button. You can then schedule an interaction with them for later. If you press the email or phone buttons on an interaction, you will start that interaction, and a record will be kept of it.

If you want to create a follow-up to a current interaction, tap "follow-up" when looking at the interaction. This will copy the people and anything else, but let you create a new title to describe the new task.

How can I get the CallCapture feature to work so I can drive my iPhone from my iPad?

You must have both an iPhone 4S or 5, and an iPad 3 or iPad mini.

To use CallCapture simply enable Bluetooth on the devices, then make sure the bluetooth is enabled in Appmesh (in settings/device options), and open the SalesMesh on both devices, logging in as the same user in the same workgroup.

Then press the call button on a person, or the blue "call" button in an interaction. If the iPhone is locked, a notification will appear - just swipe to start the call.

I bcc emails to SalesMesh but don't see them in the app. Why?

Make sure you are sending the email from an address linked to your user profile. If not, just add the email address you are using to either the work or personal email fields and forward the email to your SalesMesh mailbox again.

How can I take notes on a person or interaction or deal?

On any record detail page, simply swipe down to post a note.

Can I import contacts/data from another system or app?

Currently SalesMesh supports importing contacts from as well as the local calendar and address book, which in turn can be linked with various sources (e.g. Google, LinkedIn, Exchange, etc.) To import, tap on the import button (blue arrow next to people) at the top of the people page. We have plans on our roadmap to support more import/export sources soon. Stay tuned.

Does the agenda sync both ways with the device calendar?

SalesMesh syncs calendar events 2 weeks into the past and 3 weeks into the future whenever the app is open. We plan to support full editing and creation of calendar events from within SalesMesh soon.

Do people records sync both ways with the device address book or

Contact/people records can be one-time imported from the address book or into SalesMesh at any time. We’ve heard from some users that they would also like 2-way syncing to the local address book while others would prefer to keep personal and company data separate. Let us know what you think at

Importing contacts from doesn't seem to be working. Why?

This feature requires an API-enabled edition (usually only Enterprise and Unlimited Edition users). If you don't have an API-enabled account, email us at to see if we can help you get data exported/imported manually.

How do I link people to companies?

Starting with the person: edit the person record, tap the company field, and find or create the company.

Starting from the company: tap on the Employees subsection, then tap the + at the bottom of the screen to find or create the person.

How do I link deals to people or companies?

Starting with the deal: tap on the people subsection, then tap the + at the bottom of the screen to find or create the person. To link the company, edit the deal and tap the company field to find or create the related company.

Starting from the person or company: tap on the deals subsection, then tap the + at the bottom of the screen to find or create the deal.

Gestures and shortcuts

On most lists in the app, you can pinch/spread vertically to alternate between viewing more records or more context per record. Swiping horizontally on list items reveals a quick action bar (e.g. on people you can swipe to easily call, email, or edit).

When editing relationship fields (e.g. company name on a person profile), you can use the search bar to quickly find a record or, if no results are found, quick-create it by tapping the + button in the search bar. Give them a try and tell us what you think!

How can I see a list of all my interactions? - all my emails, calls, and meetings?

To see all your interactions in a list:

  1. tap on the People icon

  2. find yourself in the list and tap on you

  3. go to the Interactions related list (on the iPhone, in "Overview")

On the iPad, you can also sort on any of the displayed fields by tapping on the column name.

How can I see a list of all my deals?

Why don't I see a blue action button showing "call" or "email" in an interaction?

Interactions only show the action button - to immediately call or email, if the type is selected. To change the type of the interaction, swipe on the interaction and tap the pencil to edit - or when the interaction is visible full-screen, tap the pencil top-left. Then set the type to the desired setting - call or email. For meetings, there is no action button. SalesMesh will use the primary phone number of the person in the interaction, or the primary email of the people. With calls, if there are multiple people, the call button will not appear (we don't know which one to call). With emails, there can be multiple people.

How do I change my synchronized calendar?

To change the calendar you have selected to sync, go to the settings - (on the phone, pull down the header to access the menu) and then in the settings choose "Device Options". The calendar setting is at the top of this screen - tap "select calendar" then choose your calendar in the list, or "None" to stop synchronizing a calendar.

You may get asked to verify your email address if the email for the calendar doesn't match one of the emails we have for your contact already.


How can I invite other people to use SalesMesh with me?

In the settings menu, select "My Workgroup"-> ”Current users”, then tap the + at the bottom of the page.

How can I join an existing SalesMesh workgroup?

If you know the workgroup owner, you may ask them to invite you - they can refer to the instructions above. Or if you know the name of the workgroup, enter that name when signing up and the system will send the workgroup owner a join request. Note: the workgroup name is case sensitive.

How can I get more than 5 users on SalesMesh?

Can I assign a task to someone else?

To reassign tasks, simply edit the record and tap the "Assignee" field to find the appropriate user.

Where is my data stored?

Your data is stored:

  • Encrypted on any devices you login with the same SalesMesh workgroup

  • On our servers

The data is stored on our servers only as a backup resource to allow you to re-download if you lose/reset your device, or if additional users are added, and need a complete copy of the data.

Who can see my data? Is it private?

Only users in your workgroup can see your data. If you haven't invited anybody to your workgroup, only you can see your data. When there are many users - for instance, you have invited your colleagues, they can see all the data you can see in SalesMesh.

We do not use your data in any way shape or form, apart from your username/email address, to which we may send occasional newsletters about our app or service. You can opt-out from these newsletters at any time.
